BRIEF

To convert a derelict and overgrown area in the centre of the school into a nature garden and educational alotment with an outdoor performance area.

 

SOLUTION

An oak frame gazebo and deck large enough to accomodate two classes with external oak benches for further seating. A larch and cedar potting shed with an oak raised bed for every class in the school complete with automated irrigation. A pond and cascade planted exclusively with native water and marginal plants. A woodland garden planted with native species and containing a circle of solid oak seating to acccomodate one class. An area of wildflower meadow and hedgerow perrenials. A circular lawn to provide a further teaching area for up to two classses. This enables the school to have up to four classes utilising the nature garden at any one time.
